DME?
Why the name DME and what does it stand for? DME stands for Derrick Maddox Enterprises. I have a lot of ideas and areas I want to venture into which explains the Enterprises part of the name. But why did I put my name in the title? To put it simply, my father has built a legacy in this city. Because of him the name Maddox is synonymous with integrity, excellence, and dedication. He is a World Series champion for our Philadelphia Phillies (1980), a Gold Glove winner in 8 straight seasons (a Gold Glove goes to the best defensive player at a particular position), and has been a business owner and huge proponent of charity in this city for over 50 years. I can't go anywhere with him without positive comments from the best fan base in the country. He told me to use the name and use it well. I took that to mean that I should live up to the legacy he has created with the name Maddox, and to be a "positive influence on society" - what he said he wanted from his kids when I asked him what his goal was as a father. A "positive influence on society" to me is someone who helps others, is kind and respectful, and lives by the golden rule - treat others the way you want to be treated. I always try to find ways to better myself whether it be in the gym, in the business room, or most importantly for me, in the home. When you look at the content of this website I want you to come away with the answer to the question "why should I use DME?" with the answer - for DME it's more than about making money. It's personal. I'm tired of putting my trust in people who just end up being a disappointment. I'm tired of people who look me in the eyes and say one thing only to do another. I'm looking to carry the legacy and the name my father has laid before me by being being a person who treats people the way I want to be treated, and provides an excellent product.
